Emptieeesssss time, my favorite time! Good month this month I am hopefully on the start of a summer roll!
Orly Nail Defense Nail Strengthener (full size) Have I reviewed this before? I can not recall. In case not, I love this. More accurately, my nails love this. I have no idea what's in this but this makes my nails GROW LIKE CRAZY. That is not a thing it claims to do but seriously it's like a really, really, noticeable difference I swear I can go from stubs to like appropriate lady nails in 2 weeks when I use this. Already re-purchased, will continue to.
Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer (full size) This was nice and I did enjoy it. It was not quiiiteee enough moisture when it was cold out but it was good for spring. No super strong scent, had SPF, isn't crazy expensive (I think it's like $50). I'm severely unloyal when it comes to moisturizer for the most part so I purchased something else to replace it, but I did enjoy this and would repurchase in the future.
China Glaze Pink Voltage nail polish (full size) This was actually empty. This is arguable my favorite nail polish of all time. It is SO BRIGHT and SO PRETTY. I love love love neon pink nails in the summer and this is by far my favorite neon pink. Dries matte but nothing a little top coat can't fix, it looks bright AF in 2 coats, I typically need 3 but they are easy and it dries fast. Already repurchased even though I seriously do not need nail polish, I love it that much.
China Glaze Purple Panic nail polish (full size) This was dried up but probably 3/4 empty. I also love this, it's super bright, I will say it turned kinda pinky-er as it got older?? Same formula/notes as above only not AS good of a color. Didn't feel the need to re-purchase this but I would recommend if you're looking for an eye searing purple for the summer.
Smashbox Photofinish Primer (original, foil) I'm out of town 2 days a month for work for the next 4 months. I've started bringing these to use them up. See numerous prior reviews and I'm sure everyone ever has tried this so.
Boscia Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil (foil) This was fine. It did get my makeup off really well and didn't burn my eyes. Was not as cooling as expected. Not sure if I'd buy it but it was nice.
Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid (full size) I will never not have this. I noticed an extremely awful change in my skin the 1.5 weeks I was without this when I ran out and had to order a new one. Keeps my face from breaking out better than anything, ever.
Urban Decay All Nighter (deluxe) Have reviewed before, I do like this and truly do think it makes a significant difference in my makeup wear time. I'm waiting for my b-day coupon from ulta (june b-day's HOLLA!) and will then go buy this once I get my $10 off.
YSL Touche Éclat Foundation (foil) I remember nothing about this, so couldn't have been too good or too bad and I ain't paying YSL prices for "eh", so NOPE!
Equate 100% Acetone (full size) It's Acetone. It's like $1 at Walmart. I bought Target generic as a replacement this time since that's where I was right after I ran out. Does brand really matter here? It's fine, whatever lol.
Tony Moly Golden Mushroom Sheet Mask Ok I actually really liked this. A lot. It fit my face extremely well. My face did feel a little brighter the next morning and I don't think it's psychological because I expect nothing from sheet masks other than relaxing 20 minutes. I would definitely re-buy this but I am FULLY stocked up on sheet masks at the moment. But would recommend.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Primer (full size) Love this, even if it does smell like my late granny's itch cream. It makes me smile for that reason. Besides that, this is a really good primer, fills in the pores, I like wearing it when I forego foundation as well, just kinda blurs stuff a bit. I bought something else as a replacement and I don't like it nearly as much so will go back to this once my new one is done in another month or so.
Victoria's Secret Pink Warm and Cozy body spray (travel size) MY GOD I am glad this is gone. It did smell good, peony and warmer vanilla but it wasn't TOO warm to the point I felt weird using it in the spring. It was borderline too young for me (mid 30's coming at me hayyyyyyy) and I didn't like it to the point to not care (there are perfumes that make me smell 18 and I give zero fawks cuz it smells so good). It lasted like all of 3 seconds on me. I bought it for like $2 during a sale. I wouldn't re-buy it. I have another one in a different scent (coconut I think?) I have to try to get through this summer.
Bon Vivant That Day Blemish Care Mask (sheet mask) Eh. I like this brand as a whole but this was kind of a miss. I used it when I had a big ole pimple by my nose and it did nothing. Wouldn't buy this but do enjoy this brand, their botanical masks are some of my fave.
Becca Ever Matte primer (foil) OOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGG. This was the DRYEST, most MATTE primer I have ever used in my entire life. I have been getting slightly oily lately (?????) so I thought I'd try this out. Hollllyyy bananas. This is like hard to spread it's so dry and thick and omg it sucked every inch of life out of my face. Like if you are SUPER oily this might be cool but like if your nose/chin getting a little shiny by the end of the day like me? NAHHHHH PASS PASS PASS.
Clinique Smart Repair Eye Treatment (foil) It's a foil eye cream what am I supposed to notice in like 3 days? I am actually out of eye cream and am too lazy to research a new one to buy (I need to suck it the eff up and by the Fresh one, but am cheap) and one night I was like "oh wow, yeah I should use eye cream" so I took this foil out so I could feel v. responsible for using eye cream for the first time in like 3 weeks. Cool story, B.
Sephora Lip Oil Infusion in bubbly grenadine (deluxe) This was ok. This is not nearly as nice as the YSL tint in oils I think it's trying to be a dupe of. Color didn't really stain my lips, it just felt like a nice tinted gloss. I wouldn't buy it but it wasn't bad. Empty lippies make me happy though! Project under 80 by 2018 keeps moving along...
Montagne Jenuesse Aloe and Green Tea sheet mask Ok I don't hate on this brand, even though they're super cheap and like kinda seen as crappy. I will forever defend and recommend their Manuka Honey peel off mask as amazing. This one though? This was most certainly a $2 sheet mask. It slid all over my face, it smelled weird, it did literally nothing, and as mentioned above my expectations for sheet masks are extremely low. Do not recommend, would not repurchase.
Ole Henrickson Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil (foil) this was nice. Smelled like oranges. Made my face super soft. My youth ain't activated tho.
Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream (full size) Love this. This scent is different than both the scrub and the body milk lotion. Scrub is straight brown sugar, lotion is more almond, this I get pistachio. It was nice, but strangely I actually like the body milk better (usually I am team body butter 100%) so I will buy that one over this I think. It is good though. I also think it smells like that $40 arse cream from Sol de Jinero that all the youTube GOOROOS rave about and it's a lot cheaper so maybe check it out!
Batiste Dry Shampoo Dark (full size/UK Big Bottle) My last UK edition bottle. WHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY can't I get this size in the US for like $6?? WHYYYYYYYYYYY. Legit I'm considering purchasing a case next time I'm in Europe and having it shipped to me.
Michael Kors Wanderlust perfume (travel vial) I've purchased a couple full size perfumes (shame) that I really like lately (yay!) so I've been sadly slacking on my samples (shame!) but I forced myself to use one. This was ok, heavily floral, jasmine maybe? It wasn't anything I'd buy but it wasn't offensive.
Cocoa Pink Argan Therapy Conditioner (full size) idk what scent this was, the sticker fell off long ago in the shower. It was apple popcorn something I think? I love this conditioner but I feel like my hair is getting used to it which I will forever swear is a thing. I bought something else to use temporarily but I do have a backup bottle of this in my closet and will switch back, and will re-buy. Fave conditioner I've used to date.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correction Fluid in Peach (deluxe) This was a pleasant surprise. It worked well, it blended amazingly, I liked it a lot better than the Benefit Erase Paste I normally use. It was thin and easy to work with but I do think it made a difference. It's not life changing and I'm not sure I notice enough of a difference to buy it, but I would definitely consider it, which is a lot for me with a color corrector.
ON TO JUNE SUMMER OF EMPTIES AHOY!
