December BOOM!Box! Theme: Candyland.
I saw a spoiler somewhere I can't remember that showed the lip balms, but I thought we would just get one of them, and I was hoping for the Cotton Candy one because I'm not big on fruit mixed into my chocolate. Nope! We received both! I had to try the Cotton Candy one immediately to try the formula, and I really dig it. The spotted ball thing is a Sweet Berry bath bomb, and the balms and the bomb are all from a company I've never heard of before called Apothecary Noir. Alas, right now, they only have the lip balm in Vanilla Mint and Pomegranate Rose, so I'll have to try to remember to check back later and see if they have more flavors in the future (and I'm shower-only, so I won't be using the bath bomb, but it looks really neat).
Other items: The green gingerbread man in the middle is candy from Truffle Cottage which I keep trying to decide whether to eat RIGHT NAO or save it for later. Because I do want chocolate, but then it would be gone, and then I wouldn't have it to look forward to. The red-and-white striped fabric is a square Simply Mint to Be [insert rimshot here] scarf. The print is just a print (and it's cute, but it's not really my style).
As for the wraps themselves, the Oishii Treats design is really adorable, and it might be my birthday wraps next month. I had originally planned on wearing the Amethyst ones from the Gemstones Nexus box because I'm an Aquarian, and that's our birthstone, but those tiny cupcakes/muffins/ice cream cones/etc. are pretty danged cute! And the dots on the other wraps. I always love a candy dots design.
The weird thing about this particular box and its timing is that almost three years ago, I was subscribed to Scratch nail wraps, and this design arrived on a day we had horrible snow:
I had been wishing that Espionage would do candy dots because it's a fun design, plus I prefer EC wraps over pretty much every other brand I've tried. Not only did they do candy dots (except even more fun than the ones from Scratch since the stripes on the EC wraps don't go in the same direction on every nail) but, in a bizarre coincidence, they arrived on a day I'm once again snowed in. Candy dots are now officially a snowed-in Thing for me.
(And since I'm stuck inside until the snow and ice on my driveway goes away, I went ahead and put the Redrum wraps from October on even though it's not officially winter yet.)
