It's been going on for ALMOST TWO YEARS. Seriously. Some people think it's fifteen months because that's when CSPAN did the first presidential forum, but my timeline firmly believes that Jim Webb kicked everything off when he formed an exploratory committee before Thanksgiving 2014. I'm an election junkie (like way back in February, I requested this week off to stay home and follow the news today, as I have done for every presidential election since 2000), and even I can't handle it any more -- to the point where I can't follow those updates I took the entire week off to follow! I'm going to go watch The Exorcist. It will be far less stressful and gruesome than the news today.
ETA: In unrelated news, I woke up this morning to a near-devastating tragedy! My electric kettle did not want to turn on! It was horrific. It finally turned on, but it was touch and go for a few minutes. I'm taking this as a sign to get a new kettle as soon as possible. This one has served me very faithfully for well over a decade, and I'm going to miss it when it finally leaves me. It looks like a curling stone! It has style you just can't get any more. Super bummed.
