My family is providing the turkey and I'm doing the sides.
For sure:Honey butter rollsCheddar corn puddingMashed potatoes with butter/bacon/green onions/cheddar/sour cream (also help)
and possibly:Sweet potato casseroleCranberry/apple/sausage stuffing
And probably a pecan pie for dessert
Our Thanksgiving will be pretty normal... turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls..
I was just going to make regular corn but I'm kinda eyeing that cheddar corn pudding recipe now!
Also making these for dessert because I hate pie. http://chocolatechocolateandmore.com/smores-cookie-bars/
I make that corn pudding every year (sans the honey and cayenne)! It's so simple yet so good
I am also making this:http://www.carlsbadcravings.com/bacon-ranch-pepper-jack-pull-apart-bread-recipe/
Omg! You ladies are making me so hungry!
I love holiday food! We are having: Turkey and Dressing + rolls Mushroom Rice Pistachio Salad or something similar And either corn pudding/green bean bundles/sweet potato casserole. For dessert we will have pumpkin pie and either another pie (pecan?) or eclair cake or cherries in the snow.
The menu so far is oven baked ham, roasted veggies (haven't decided on the roasting sauce of choice), scalloped potatoes and dressing. There will be pumpkin pie, and maybe a bread option of some sort.
I just prepped my mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes for tomorrow...now they are all pretty and waiting to be baked <3
I made s'mores cookie bars
It all looks so good.
Right now, working on roasted brussels sprouts with honey balsamic glaze, garlic chips, and pecorino romano <3 <3
GARLIC CHIPS????? what is this magical creation?
You just slice garlic cloves thinly and fry them in some olive oil until they get golden and a litle crispy, then take 'em out of the oil and sprinkle a little salt on them and let them cool...then you use the garlic infused oil to roast your veggies. THEN sprinkle the garlic chips on top when it's all done. HEAVEN.
..............you are a genius
haha, my very favorite veggie secret as a bonus, when you put the chips on top with some sauce or a drizzle of something, it looks fancy as hell.
Honey butter rolls from scratch =
We do this with small shallots and it is amazing! It makes any pasta dish seem super fancy.
Those Brussel sprouts look sooo good!
I made the most magical tortellini soup today <3 <3
I need some new lunch recipes! I'm a fan of making a big batch of something on Sundays to take for lunch and I'm getting bored with my usual rotation. I keep it low carb high protein whenever possible.
