I can tell when I'm ovulating because my sense of smell goes haywire, but my period somehow takes me by surprise every month, even with that warning. I will know it's started, but as far as knowing it's going to hit on x day, I have no clue. I tried tracking on my calendar, but I would always forget to mark either the start or the end. I'm going to give that tracker a shot. If it's on my phone, I stand a stronger chance of remembering. I'm at the age where I need to start keeping track for the winding down phase, so it will be interesting to see how this shakes out.
(I can't talk to any of my female relatives about how this goes in our family because one aunt and one cousin had hysterectomies when they were in their twenties, I don't really talk to two aunts, and my mom passed away in 2002 at the age of 51. Today would have been her 65th birthday, in fact. And that's all of the women in the first tier of my family.)
